Thanksgiving 2014

Thanksgiving Tradition begins with the
Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
in this house.
I did not realize how much the kids would like it this year,
but they were very into it.
They loved pointing out all the different balloons and
watching the performances.
Nash also discovered his love for pull apart.

I was able to host Thanksgiving this.
It was the Denove side year for us.
And this year was a very small crowd;
just Chris's parents and his sister's family.

I have learned that I love to host.
I love the details and cooking and the hustle and bustle.
The ideas for table settings are fun.

And before people arrived, I tried to get a family picture.

Once the picture was done then he gives a great smile

Chris fried the turkey along with anything else we could find in the fridge:
pickles, jalapeƱos, cheese and potatoes.

The girls did arts and crafts

 The boys played Go Fish

Then they all ended up in the fort to play planes

Then it was turkey time.

It was a nice relaxing Thanksgiving.
Great way to start the Holiday season.

Fall Fun

We do not get a true fall here in So Cal.
So when the tree leaves started to fall in late November,
we decided to jump in.

I raked a big pile for Nash to jump in

well....I thought it was big

So he decided to just kick around the leaves

The leaves were a big hit

Our neighbors Cameron and Shelby joined us for the fun too

It was a huge success!

Homecoming Game at Moorpark

I am working through some posts that I really want to remember later.

We headed to homecoming at our local high school here in Moorpark,
with our neighbors the Seaborns.
Nash loves Dean and Ava and they wanted to go with us.

The kids were in awe of the stadium and everything that was going on there.

Family in the stands

Watching the players and cheerleaders

 Really blurry but too cute
but they had Shave it (snow cones) at the game.

My girl loved the cheerleaders

Nash turns 4

Nash knew exactly what he wanted as his theme this year for his birthday.
Spider man
It was a week long celebration.
We did not have a big birthday party this year but several smaller ones.

It started on Saturday with his cousins.

The Banner my Mom made for his first Birthday makes an appearance at every birthday for Nash

Very excited about his Spider man birthday cake from the ice cream store

Nash woke up to streamers and balloons all over the ground.

He went downstairs to some presents:
Hot Wheel cars boat transporter
Planes: Fire and Rescue movie
and the Green firetruck from the movie

On Nash's Birthday he wanted to take spider man cupcakes to school.
So I tried my hand at making them.
Finished product.

Nash took them to school.
I also packed just plain strawberry cupcakes just in case some kids did not like the icing.
My son chose one of the plain ones while at school.
Does not surprise me at all.

After school, we took Nash out to Chuck e Cheese for the first time.
He loved it.

After Nap, Noni and Papas gift came.
Gup D and Gup A
and straight into the bath he went to play with them.

We ended the day with a neighbor cupcake party.

The next weekend we headed to San Diego to celebrate with my family.
Nash is in love with the beach at my parents house.
So we headed to the beach to top of his birthday.

Happy Birthday my Nash.
We love you so much.
