Nash's 3rd Birthday Party

I decided to go all out for Nash's 3rd Birthday

He is at such a fun age that is hard to not get excited with him.

We held it at the big park by our house in our neighborhood.

It was a tractor themed party.

We rented a bounce house (which is one of his favorites)

and invited all his friends my school, family and other friends.

It turned out great!

The Banner was made by my Mom for his first Birthday.

The plan was to use it for Every Party, so far we are 2 for 3.

We had chocolate donuts (tractor tires) and rice crispies (hay bales)

The Tractor Chocolates are thank you gifts.

The Tractor Cookies were amazing and made by my friend Erin!

The party gifts were john deere cups filled with goodies.

But Nash did love the cars

This was Nash's favorite part of the party

Actually all the kids loved it.

I made Cupcakes for the party

And the wind kept blowing out the candle.

But Nash was able to blow it out eventually

Before the party, I promised I was going to get lots of pictures I wanted.

But of course none of them happened.

I wanted Nash with both of his Grandparents.

With his aunts and uncles and cousins.

Nope.

I have got to get better at it.

Nash had a great party!  He is still talking about it.

On to his real birthday the next day.

Gymnastics Class

I took Nash to his first Gymnastics Class

and he LOVED it.

I was able to capture some pictures, however they were on the other side of the gym

so the pictures are not that great!

I cannot tell you how odd it was to be the one in the waiting room

and not out in the gym.

Oh to be a gym mom now and not the gymnast.

The class ended with jumping into the pit.

It was a hit, the only thing he was sad about was not being able to jump on the trampoline.

I think we are going to sign up for gymnastics class once a week at the beginning of the year.

We have so much going on until then, that we would miss too many classes.

Halloween 2013

What a fun day!

Nash is at an age that is so fun.

He finally gets stuff!!

And he has quite the sense of humor. 

The day started out with the annual Camp Amgen parade.

The school he goes to is at Chris's Office Campus.

The entire school does a parade along the outside main walkway.

Many of the employees come out and watch the parade.

It is so fun and cute.

Another bonus is his cousin Leyton is at the same school so we got to see him walk too!

Later that day was party time.

My Neighbor Heather and I threw our first block party.

At first we were nervous that no one would show up, but after a little bit

it was a huge hit!

Chris had some co-workers come and my friend Lindsay even made it out.

It was great!!!

Anyways...look at this little goofball before the party started.

Poor Sadie, she had no idea what was going on.

But she loved all the people around.

All the kids were riding bikes, scooters and doing crafts until we left to go trick or treating.

It was fun.

Nash loved ringing the doorbells and saying trick or treat.

He would yell at all the kids:

Come on guys, lets go!

It was so cute to see all the little kids trick or treating together.

We had one house that did themselves out.

At the end, the kids were tired

and Nash did not even want to take a picture with Landyn.

What a great Halloween.

Looking forward to next years.

Miss Sadie is 8 Months Old

8 Months

How can this be?

Another month older

Cupcake you are just growing so big so fast.

 

Stats: 

Weight 17 lbs - yes you read that correctly. You only gained 4 oz in the last two months (25%)

 Height: 26.5 in 30%

Diapers: Size 3

We are still have constipation problems but I seem to be able to work through

as long as I give you prunes every other day.

Sleep: Oh Girlfriend

You are not a sleeper

You still take two 1.5 hour naps a day - 9 am and 1:30pm

You go to bed around 7 and still wake up once a night which now we are not going in your room anymore.  Some nights you cry for an hour and other nights you cry for 15 minutes.

You wake up at 5 to feed and then you go to sleep until 6:45am.

I hope you become a better sleeper but we will see.

 Food: You love to have Daddy feed you solid food.

You eat so well with him feeding you.

You have not had anything you do not like.

You have officially moved to stage 2 foods but because you have no teeth we have not given you real table food yet, much to your disappointment

Puffs are your new favorite thing

You tell us when you are all done by saying all done

You grunt and point your arm to things you want: puffs and water

I am still breastfeeding you 4 times a day

 Milestones:

You have started to pull yourself to stand on everything now

Especially in your crib;)

You crawl 60% of the time and army crawl 40%

Extremely vocal

Love to clap and say Yea

You can drink out of a straw

 Teething: We still have no teeth but everything goes in your mouth

and you chew on everything

Personality:

You are full of personality.

You smile at everyone and engage them.

You will talk to people and your little dolls or animals

When Nash is home you chase him around and try to do everything he is up to.

You know what you want and will make it known

 Your smile is contagious and you are still very much a mama's girl.

Clothes:

You are still in 6-12 month clothing

You are in 9 or 12 month pjs.

You are in 0-3 month shoes.

You are itty bitty and I am having to buy new clothes for the fall because I bought all 12-18 month

but hey I do not mind.

Favorites:

Favorite Room: Breakfast Nook

Favorite Food: Sweet Potatoes

Favorite Toy: Anything that Nash is playing with or the building cups

Activity:

You climb on everything

You are extremely fast at crawling

You love to pick things up with your finger and thumb even if it is a crumb

Everything goes in your mouth, especially your brothers cars

You like to stick you hand under the screen door and try to get the leaves

You wave to people walking by

You give people high fives

You make the sign for all done

You LOVE to watch kids and people (take after your mama in that department)

You like to dump everything out of buckets

Love to knock over the cup tower..you think it is funny

Like to pull hair

Sibling Relationship:

You love Nash.

You want to do everything he does.

When he is around you follow him with your eyes and your body.

He is fast so you whip your head around to make sure you do not miss a thing.

Nash is starting to really engage with you.

In the car, he says tickle tickle tickle and you will start laughing.

He then tells me "Sadie's Happy, no worries mama"
