I have some pictures that I did not post from our San Diego trip.

This is what every morning looked like.

Micah and Nash would watch some TV while they woke up.

It was really cute because Micah Mae (Auntie M&M) would explain the show to Nash.

He would look at her and then look back to the TV.

 Once everyone got ready for the day, Micah would practice the piano and Nash would just stare at her.

He would giggle and laugh and enjoy her piano playing.

Nash loved his time with his Noni.

 Nash and I were also able to visit one of my best friends Dianna and her little ones!

Her youngest Annika is about 3 months older than Nash.

Nash was so big compared to her. It was funny because she is up crawling and pulling up on items and Nash is just learning how to sit. It was interesting because I felt like he should be at the same development level as her.

Micah went with me and Brayden just loved her. He was so excited to see us.

It was a great feeling.

Brayden had a new hairstyle while we were there and was very proud of it:)

Then on our drive home I had the best traveling buddy.

He slept most of the way home.

Which was nice for the 6 hour drive.

Big and Fun Announcement

Chris and I have a fun and BIG announcement to make in the next couple of weeks! We need to tie up some loose ends. Stay tuned.........

San Diego for the week

Nash and I took a much needed visit to my Parents house in San Diego on Saturday.

We will be here for the week.

We do miss our Daddy, but it is so nice to have cool weather and built in babysitters who are your little sisters.

On Sunday night, my Mom hosted a 4-5 grade Keepers bible study for little sister Micah Mae.

My Mom has always hosted bible studies for us girls and it was finally Micah's turn.

This particular study is about the Fruit of the Spirit.

Each time they meet they will go into depth about one of the fruits.

This Sunday was about kindness.

Also, during the study they do one activity.

Tonight's activity.....making pizzas!

 My Mom showed them how to make the dough from scratch.

Once the dough was made ....

(my Mom had already made some dough earlier in the day and then divided into small pieces to provide an individual pizza dough to each girl)

I had put Nash down to take some pictures and he found a light that he was in love with.

After the pizzas were made and eaten, the girls gathered in the the living room for some learning.

 It was great to see the girls so into the fruit, kindness and yelling out examples of kindness.

On another note, the weather has been amazing while we have been here.

Nash has been spending a lot of time outside with his Auntie Maddie on the swing set!

He is in Heaven.

I think Maddie is too.

Baby Nash is 6 months old!

Munchkin you have made it to 6 months!

Where has the past six months gone.

We grow more in love with you everyday.

Everyday brings new experiences and excitement.

Stats: Weight - 18 lbs 12 oz 75%

Length - 21.5 in 90%

You are growing so fast. Just last month you were below 50% in height and now you are in the 90%! 

Woooo Hooooo

You are one solid boy.  Not a lot of fat to pinch but just solid.

You still have your Daddy's body and your hair seems to be growing in a little.

There is still that bald spot on the back of your head, but it seems like the hair is growing a little at a time.

Eating: You are still eating about 6 oz of formula every 3-4 hours.

We tried to switch you off of the soy formula and it was a no go. You spit up everywhere and cried from pain. I guess we will stick to what is working.

The doctor put you on some medicine for your reflex and it seems to be working.

This is a huge blessing because our house was starting to smell like spit up all the time.

Hopefully, your tummy will calm down and we will not have to be on the medicine for very long.

Solid foods are going really well. You are on stage two and eat all solids.

We tried some puffs and melts, but you are still a little too young for them.

Sleep: Oh sweet boy, you have started to sleep through the night. Thank you God!

You are on a pretty good schedule.  

Two naps during the day: 9 am - 10:30

12:30 - 2

Then you usually go to bed around 7 and wake up around 6:15.

We still swaddle the bottom half of you and then cover you with Nana's quilt.

You sleep with your turtle or lady bug stars night light and the football night light.

You usually go down with no problem and are very grateful to be going to sleep.

When Daddy or I go and check on you, you have moved yourself up to the top of the crib, usually in the corner and have smashed your head into the side of the crib, with your hands touching both sides of the bed. You are one funny kid.

Developmental steps: You have rolled over from both your tummy to your back and from your back to your tummy. However, you will not roll over all the time.  When you are on your back, you will roll your entire body except for your arm over and then roll back to your back. I think you have decided it is a game to see how far you can get before you actually roll over. It is very funny to watch.

You move everywhere. I can put you on the activity matt and you will have squirmed your way right off of it.

The activity matt has become your jungle gym. You pull down the sides with both your hands and feet.

Sitting has been a struggle.  You sit with the assistance of the boppy and with Daddy or me. You can lean forward while sitting and then pull yourself back up. One strong cookie you are.

You smile all the time and laugh often.

You love to pull Daddy's hair (this is because I will not let you pull mine).

Your little hands love to touch our faces, it is so precious.

 Teething: Yes we are in full swing.  The doctor said that both the tops and bottoms are swollen.  This should be fun.  Your fingers are in your mouth all the time and you try eat anything that you can get to your mouth.

Everyone that gets to spend time with you say that you are a talker and I would have to agree.

Firsts: You went to Sunday School

Daddy gave you some ice cream(I told him not too but he thought it was funny) No More!!!

You had your first cold

Slept through the night

Road trip with just Momma (to Noni's house)

You are a very deep thinker and HATE loud noises. You get startled very easily which is not so fun.

Daddy and I have been working on this by clapping and making loud noises at home to try to get you use to some noise.

We upgraded your car seat this month. Momma could not carry you in the carrier anymore. This also meant we had to buy a new light weight stroller! You love your new car seats and new stroller.

Happy Six Months Nasherson! 

We love you and cannot wait to see what the next six months hold for you!

Verses for the House

Last night, Chris and I made our way over to the house.

Earlier in the morning we had received a call that the inspection was cleared and insulation will occur this morning and dry wall will go up on Monday.

When we bought the house we had decided we wanted to put up some verses in our house that mean something to our family.

The verse that was chosen for over the door:

"As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord" Joshua 24:15

 We have not decided on the method of discipline for our children.  However, we know there will be a time out spot on the first step of the stairs. So we decided on the following verse:

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it"

Proverbs 22:6

(This verse always reminds me of the song by Hide 'em in your heart.  I listened to that CD growing up all the time)

Over Nash's door we put up the verse that demonstrates our faith through the difficulty of getting pregnant with him.

"I prayed for this child and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him"

1 Samuel 1:27

Over the door of the next future Baby Denove:

"Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from Him"

Psalm 127:3

On the dining room floor we put the following verse:

"While they were eating, Jesus took bread gave thanks and broke it and gave it to his disciples saying "Take and eat, this is my body." Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them saying "Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is prepared out for many for the forgiveness of sins."

Matthew 26: 26-28

 Over our door in the bedroom, we put our wedding verse:

"Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, For this is God's will for us in Christ Jesus."

1Thes 1: 15-18

In the den where the Piano is going to go we put this verse down:

"Come let us sing for Joy to the Lord. Let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before Him with Thanksgiving and exalt Him with music and song."

Psalm 95:1-2

We feel truly blessed that we are able to build a home and enjoy what God has planned for us.

It might not always be what our plans are, but we know that He is in control.

Morning Time with Nash

Nash has been sitting more and more!  

We are loving it:)

He is also more interested in toys and has been grabbing them and picking them up!

Lake Havasu - May 2011

Our little family headed out to Lake Havasu to meet up with some of Chris's family this past weekend.

The water was still a little too cold for Nash.  He was not fond of the pool water or the lake water.

 However, Michael and Taylor loved it!

 The weather was beautiful.  In the morning, Nash and I had breakfast out on the patio.

 Michael came out and joined us once he woke up

 Later that day we spent the afternoon out on the boat.  

Nash loved the boat!

He also loved watching his Daddy freeze in the water
