Nash at 26 months

My little Nasherson
You are 26 months old and just a bundle of personality.

You are still an amazing eater.  Recently, you have mastered using both your fork and spoon.
You like to use them as hair brushes also.
At School you use a regular cup, but Mama does not want to deal with the spills so at home we are still using sippy cups.
There are only a few foods you do not like:
chicken nuggets
grilled cheese
sweet potatoes
anything too sweet

You love to look at pictures on any one's phone.
You will come up to us and say "Pictures"
we are working on sentences so we say "Can I look at your pictures please?"
You will repeat "Pictures Please".
 Haircuts are very difficult.
You scream your head off and act like we are trying to hurt you.
Hence why your hair is always soooo crazy!

Maddie, Nash and Micah

You have LOVED being back around family.
While we were moving you spent some time at Noni and Papa's house.
During that time, my Dad was being called Gramps.
However, anytime we would say "Gramps" you would say "Rita"
who knows why.
By the time you left their house...you had renamed Gramps to "Papa"
and he is now Papa.  In fact the other day, you ran to the laundry room and looked inside and said
"Papa...papa..where are you?"

You can name everyone in the family...both sides.
However some people you have nicknamed
You call Micah - Me Cah
Joella - JoJo
Uncle Bryan - Bry Bry
Auntie Holly - Olly
Uncle Andrew - Drew Drew

Your personality is really starting to come out.
Boy oh boy...are you a stubborn little one
but Daddy and I are working with you
and learning a lot about us as parents.

For example, you still sleep at night with two empty bottles:
the other day I told you there were going to go bye bye soon.
You throw them off of the bed and say "Bye Bye Bobbles"
and then wait 10 seconds look at me and say "Noooooooo"
climb down and get them and then snuggle back up to me.
Oh you little ham.
Talking:
You are one talkative kid.
You have started to babble sentences with words that we can understand.
It is so fun to try to figure out what you are saying.
Right now we are really working on using our please and thank yous.
You tend to bark out one word commands like:
Milk
Pictures
Night Night
and we are working on using questions and our manners.
Mama, Milk Please
Daddy, can I look at pictures, please?
I want to go night night, please.

 You love technology.
Especially the games that we have on our phones.
We have a matching game that you are pro at. It actually amazes me that you can remember where the objects are and match them on your first try. (Think of the game memory and that is what it is)

 Mr. Independent
You can go into the fridge and get your own drink and snack.
However, we are trying to get you to ask us for the snack.
For Example, at this moment you asked me to put the fish on the coffee table
and then you placed your cup there and went and retrieved your chair and pulled it up to the coffee table.
Nash...you love to act like Daddy.
If it is putting on his slippers or carrying around his briefcase
you want to be just like him.
You are still very much a Daddy's boy.

 Toys:
Cars and Trains are still your favorite.
Anything that has wheels and you can push or ride in it...you are in heaven.
Have I mentioned that you are all Boy?
wrestling daddy is one of your favorite activities at night
You can name all of your primary colors and count to three.
When we ask you how old you are....you yell out TWOOOOOOO.
Then we ask you what your name is and you say Youuuuuu.
Yes you think your name is You.
Maybe it is from us looking at pictures saying...that's you.
A new thing you are into is stamps.
Nana bought you some stamps for home and you love using them.

Love this picture even though it is blurry....this is so a Nash face.
You are loving life right now!
At that parks...you think the sand is snow
Every dog is named Sophia....you say...So Fia

Life is good right now....and we are just waiting for the arrival of Miss Sadie.

She will be called:

Sadie Mills

Chris and I have always had a really hard time picking names.
I like unique and personal names, he likes common and well known names.
However for a girl we were both on the same page.

It probably took us about a month to decide.
We called her by so many of the names we liked and nothing really fit.
Chris really liked the name Sadie and I felt it was southern enough and started to fall in love with it
(I love southern names...I am a southern girl at heart)

So what about the middle name?
For me, the middle name needs to be personal and family related.
Nash's middle name is Christopher after Chris
Scottie's middle name was Marie after me and my Mom.
So I needed a family name.
I have a really special connection with my Gran (my Dad's Mom) and wanted to incorporate her into the name.
My little sister is named after Gran's first name which meant creativity needed to be involved.
Gran's maiden name was Mills.
I love masculine names for girls and I thought this was a perfect.

So there you have it....our Sadie Mills

We cannot wait to meet you....in your Daddy's words
