Pumpkin Patch

Our little family headed out to the pumpkin patch this weekend.
We were supposed to go with our friends the Hettels, however we are in teething "heaven" at our house and Nash has been under the weather.

Finally, we sucked it up and went because we did not want all the pumpkins to be gone:)

Chris pulled Nash around in a wagon.
Nash was thrilled by it..he had his stroller face on so we knew he was enjoying.

Stopped by some of the goats.

The little guy finally caught on that he needed to hold on for dear life while riding in the wagon.

The perfect pumpkin was found and we all celebrated!

There was a really cool spot to take pictures however...Nash had a different idea

The little white pieces all over the ground were much more interesting..

and tasted so good.
It was a battle getting the hay out of his mouth.

After much fun was had, we decided to get the traditional pumpkin photo.

but once again the hay was way more interesting than Daddy dancing around.

Nash did love sitting amongst the pumpkins and finally a little smile came out.

Hugs were in order for this pumpkin

and then more hay eating....which at that point we knew we needed to head home.

Water Baby

Last week after my Mom left, my mother in law came to stay with us for a week.
Nash loves the pool and so does his Nana so he was very happy to be out swimming in the pool!

We also got Nash a swing and he loves it!
Here is to a great fall!

Breakfast and Fountains

Two weeks ago my Mom came out to stay with us for a week.  It has become tradition for her and Nash to leave early in the morning and walk to our little Main Street that is about a mile away.  She would feed Nash breakfast at the coffee shop and then take him to play in the fountains.  Nash loved every minute of it.

Baby Nash is 10 Months Old

Nash
I think I say this every time, but I just cannot believe you are 10 months old.
You have grown leaps and bounds this month and just seem so old.
We love you so much little man and trying to enjoy every second of you.

 Size: 25 lbs
Diapers: Size 4

Clothes: Shirts 18-24 months
Shorts 12-18 months and some 18-24 months
Onsies: 18 month
PJS - 24 months
Sleepsack - Large

Food: You are a pro eater!
We are trying to introduce new foods to you all the time.
This month your new foods were: Chicken and Dumplings, watermelon, muffins, spaghetti, wood ranch chicken, nectarines, and cheese
Bottles: You are still exactly the same - 4 6oz bottles however, thanks to your Nana, you have become pro at drinking out of a sippy cup...this month we might try a bottle from a sippy cup.

Toys:
Your favorite toy is anything with a string or cord.  You are in love them.
The blue bucket that all your toys are stored in. You will crawl over to it and pull yourself up and stand there for a long time.
The big block that holds all the little blocks.
The drum - you will lift it up and slam it down and then you will hit the drum...it is the same routine over and over again.

Hair: Your hair has all of the sudden started to grow like a weed this month.
I am not complaining at all...I love all the craziness that is coming with it.

You are becoming a studier. You study everything.
You will not do anything until you are sure what you are doing or what you are going to play with.
When you meet new people, you stare at them like you are investigating them and then you will smile.

Teething: You got your top left front tooth this month and you
are currently working on the right front tooth and the two teeth on the top next to the front teeth.
It has been quite the teething experience!
Once these teeth come in you will have 6 little teefers.

Mood: Since you have been mobile, you have been extremely happy.
You love being able to get to where you want to go.
You have been laughing a lot this month, which has made your parents very happy.
It has brought great joy in a time of sorrow for your parents.
Words: You say momma and hi...we are working on more words. Hopefully you start to say lots.

Movement: You are a full blown crawler.
You love to pull up on everything and have even started to walk with your walkers or holding onto our finger tips.
I call you a bulldozer because you will just crawl over toys or things to get to a certain point.
You do not care what is in front of you.
Below is a typical crawling cycle for you.
 You prepare yourself
 Crawl two or three steps
Lay down and start trying to fly.
Then you get back to crawling again!

 Outside:
Munchkin man you love love love to be outside.
If there is water outside it is the best of two worlds for you!
You never complain when you are outside.
It is amazing how you are just calm and take everything in.

Here is to a great fall...little pumpkin!
We love you.

Scottie Marie

Dear Family and Friends,

As some of you may know and some may be hearing this for the first time, we lost our daughter Scottie Marie due to complications during pregnancy on Friday, September 16th.

The past week and half have been the hardest days of our lives. The long story and facts are too painful to discuss at this time, however the end result is the same; Our daughter is up in heaven dancing with Jesus.

We thank everyone for your prayers and support as Chris and I go through this difficult time. Our family is in need of prayer and support during this time of healing.  We ask that you continue to pray for us and with God's strength and healing we will get through this.

Need of Prayer

Chris and I are going through a really difficult time regarding the new baby girl and some news we received yesterday.  Please keep us in your prayers!

Dear God,

We are faced with decisions in life
And we do not always know what is best.
You have given us the awesome power to choose freely
As well as the intelligence to choose wisely.

Inspire us and guide us to Your choice.
Once you have shown us Your Will
Let us not look back
In the firm knowledge that we have done our part

Give us courage to submit to Your Will and obey
Amen

New Things around the Denove Household

SO many crazy things are happening around here!  Here is just a snapshot of what is new in our household.
  • I have a new project that requires me to travel to Dallas every other week until the Doc tells me no more travel...the positive is at least I get to go to Dallas where there is great shopping
  • Chris is in the process of hunting for a job and a new career adventure!
  • Nash is:
    • cutting his top two teeth
    • waking up three times a night
    • sitting in the bathtub with no help from any apparatus
    • sitting up from a laying position by himself
    • rocking back and forth on his knees
    • army crawling/wiggling
    • eating all new kinds of foods
    • interested in plugs on the wall
    • pulling himself up on things
    • says "Mama" for everything and sometimes "Bababababababa"
Chris and I are in the process of learning how to "slow down" and listen to God's instructions for us. It is a scary time in our lives with all this change but we are comforted that He is in control and protects our family as long as we seek him.  So what are Chris and I doing right now....we are seeking HIM!

I will be back soon with many pictures from the past two weeks
