Miss Sadie is 2 Months Old!

Miss Sadie Mills you are 2 months old.
You are our dream baby and are so excited that we have been blessed with you.
Weight: 11lbs 11oz - 70%
Length: 22.75 in - 50%

Diapers: You are wearing size 1

Clothes: You are mostly in 0-3 months, 3 months and some 6 months
I have had so much fun dressing you.
The past couple weeks we have gone from cold weather, to spring weather and then summer
to only go back to cold weather.
I have so many fun summer clothes for you and cannot wait to put them on you.

Feeding: We are still going strong on breastfeeding.  You eat about every 4 hours during the morning afternoon. Then in the evening you want to eat every hour until you go to bed.
You will take a bottle and we try to give you at least one bottle a day.
Nash likes to make sure that we know that your bottles are the pink ones and his night time ones are white. (Yes he still has those empty bottles to suck on at night..this mama cannot get the nerves up to take them off)

Sleeping: You are a great sleeper.  You will sleep around 3-4 hours a nap during the day. At night you will sleep around 5 hours and then wake up to eat and go back right to sleep.

Sister Relationship: You are in love with Nash.
Your little eyes will try to follow him when he is in the same room with you.
He likes to have you involved in play some times, and then others he wants you to stop.
The other day..he wanted to play on the activity mat with you.
Then he looked up at Daddy and said "Sadie all done...daddy Sadie all done"
Sadie's Favorites: You are in the love with the ceiling fans. You will smile and talk to them.
Your car seat....thank goodness for this. As soon as you get in it, in the car you fall asleep.
Activity Matt...you like to lay under it and watch the sun.

Bows and Dresses: Sadie Girl..your mama loves you in bows and dresses.  I think you might wear a bow forever because they are so precious on you.

Smiling: This month you started smiling and it is so cute.
You smile with your whole body.
It starts out small and then your whole body just starts to smile.

 Milestones: You started to smile
You have started to coo and talk to us
You can also recognize people's faces and voices.

You are one strong little cookie and I cannot wait to see what the next month holds

Sadie Girl! We love you so much and cannot even imagine life without you.

Nash is 2 1/4 years old

Nash is growing leaps and bounds and I just wanted to capture this time in his life so that I will never forget.  As a Mom, I am loving this stage of his life. I love to watch how his mind works, the things he learns and the concepts he starts to grasp.

Nash you are almost 2 1/2.
Where has my baby gone!
Your little personality is evolving everyday.
I know I have said it before but you are all boy.

You love anything with an engine.
You think they are so cool!

At home you love to play with your cars.
Sometimes it is the big cars from the "Cars" movie

Or your "Maters" from the cars movie.
We will find you playing with your cars in every place in the house.

You will yell for me and say
"Watch Mama"

Very recently, you have discovered your boots.
Anytime you go outside you want your boots on.
This will allow for you to play in the mud and or water.

You love to ride your bike outside.
We have set boundaries for you to ride to and from and I would say you are learning them.
There has been no arguing about wearing your helmet as soon as we found one that fit your head.
Speaking of all boy.
One night we were on a family walk, and one yard had just finished being watered.
The water was running off onto the sidewalk.
Of course you found the puddle and drove right through it.
Then proceeded to turn around, pick up your bike and splash the tires in the puddle.
Oh man oh man, you thought that was funny.
Another thing about your bike, you refuse to use the peddles.
You ride it like your Fred Flinstone.

This has been a month of learning for you.
You can count up to 20 and count anything.
We will be driving in the car and you will say "Mama, two airplanes"
You have also learned your ABCs and can recite all the letters in the bathtub.

 Food is still your favorite.
If we want you to do something we can bribe you with food.
In the morning, when you snuggle in bed with us the first thing you ask for is Snack and Chocolate Milk.
For snack right now you love Lucky charm cereal...of course it is for the marshmallows

Can you spy who you are eating snack with?

Favorite arts and crafts is stamps.
You make this grunting sound every time you put the stamp onto the paper.

Music is another one of your favorite things.
You love to play Daddy's guitar and the piano.
At school you have music class every Wed. and you love to sing the songs at home that you learn.
Songs you sing around the house:
Five little Monkeys
ABCs
Jesus Loves Me
Rejoice in the Lord
You are my sunshine
Row Row Your Boat
Wheels on the Bus

You love to throw things.
Here you are at the beach looking for rocks to throw.

and you found one to throw.

You are one busy little boy.
We have a saying at our house, that someone has to run you.
This means we need to take you somewhere to get all your energy out.
I am not sure if you ever walk.
At school they have been teaching your different ways to move your body.
You love to march...and while you march you say "March March March"
you have also learned how to gallop and walk backwards.

My Nash...you still love your routines.
Once we have told you this is how a certain thing has to be done...you follow it.
For example, at Noni and Papa's house when you were real little we sat you on her stool to have snack.
Well..you have continued to have snack there now, even though you fall off of it now because you are too big.

You have become very independent.
You like to pick out your clothes for night night time.
You like to tell us what show you would like to watch on the TV:
Monkey George - Curious George
Kachow - Cars Movie
Thomas the Choo Choo - Thomas the Train
Sofiiiiiiia - Sofia the first show on Disney
Jungle Junc - Jungle Junction on Disney

You do not like to have your shoes and socks on in the house and you request other to take their socks off if they are wearing socks with out shoes.

You have memorized where every one's house is and if we are driving in that direction you will tell us what house you would like to go to.

You start crying when we get on the free way...not sure why
While driving on the freeway, you will point out every car and tell me whose car it is:
A white Daddy's truck
A black Noni's car
Auntie Holly's car
A red Papi's car

You love things that go.
Trains, cars, airplanes, trucks, tractors, etc.
I think you take after your Papa in this way.

You are an amazing big brother.
You want Sadie to watch whatever activity you are doing.
When it is snuggle Mama time, you want her to come snuggle with us.
When you find her paci, you run over to give it to her.

You are not too interested in holding her or having her too close to you.

Some fun things your say:
When we ask "Nash do you want to go outside?" You reply "I do"
When you find something funny you say "That's Funny"
You like to call people's houses by the man of the house:
Daddy's house
Pappi's House
Papa's house
If I ask you to put something away you say  "Ok Mama"
The other day while we were at Noni's house, I disciplined you and when I was done
you told on me to Noni.  "Noni, mama disciplined me"
Daddy was standing next to your high chair and taking some pieces off your plate..you looked at him and said "My food you sit"

What do you know right now:
Recognizing your letters
Counting to 20
Animals and their sounds
Fruits
You know how to scooter and ride your tricycle
Colors
Shapes
You can match items and play a very difficult matching game on the iPad
Probably more and I just cannot think about it
Nash we will love you so much and enjoy your spunk and growth everyday!

Miss Sadie is 1 Month Old

One Month
Has it really been one month!
I cannot believe you are a month old already
Our family feels complete with you.
We love you Sadie Girl!

Sleep: As you are getting older you have more awake time.  Right now, you go to sleep around 10 pm and sleep until 3 to 3:30.  Then after your feeding you go back to sleep until about 6:30 - 7.  After that you sleep about 3-4 hours and then wake up for a feeding. You are an amazing baby and very content.

Feed: You have been a dream baby around feeding. You are very efficient during your feedings. Daddy and I had you taking one bottle a feeding from day one and you have taken to both breastfeeding and bottle feeding like a pro.  You eat every 3-4 hours and then in the evening you tend to feed more.  You are eating about 2-4 oz a feeding.

Weight: 10 lbs 5 oz....that is almost 2 lbs in one month. You are in the 60% percentile for weight

Length: 22 in tall which is 2 in from birth.

Milestone: You had many firsts this week.
You can lift your head and turn it both directions. You are very strong and very ahead of your game, girlfriend.
We went to Noni and Papa's house for the first time. Noni came and picked us up and we spent a week down at their house.  This was the first time you spent some time away from your Daddy, but you did great! While we were there we went to the San Diego zoo.

You have started looking at us and turning towards our voices.

I have started to exercise this month and love this flower hat:)
It was the first time to dress your brother and you up for a fun holiday - St. Patricks Day

Sadie's Favorites:
Love to sleep with your hands available
Love to sleep on your stomach

This is your typical look

You are a snuggler
Your paci...you are very particular about it. If we insert it into your mouth and you do not want it you will gag and sometimes throw up.

Diapers: You only wore NB diapers for the first week and then we moved to size 1 and we use sensitive diapers.

Mommy Moments:I am trying to soak in all of you and every moment we have alone together. I go back to work in 4 weeks and not looking forward to it. I just want to snuggle your sweet face all day long.
