Trip to Aunt Gloria's house

At the end of February,
My Mother, the kids and I
ventured out to Moline, IL
for my cousin's wedding.

I drove down to San Diego with the kids on Wed
at this point Nash had no idea he was going on an airplane.
He was extremely excited to be going to Noni and Papa's house.
He loves to play trains at their house.
Nash and Micah playing trains.

Noni got Nash a really cool bath toy that lights up in the water
Nash loves it, Sadie is terrified of it

The next morning, My Mom, the kids and I loaded up the van
and headed to the airport.
Nash was beyond thrilled to be going to the airport.
We parked the car at Wally Park and then the fun began.
We had to get 2 car seats, a stroller, 4 Large Bags and the carry ons out of the car
onto the bus.
My Mom took the kids on the bus and I helped the driver load up our stuff.
Nash was very concerned that the bus was going to leave without me.
But once we were all on he was over the moon and sat with wide eyes.
Eventually, we got checked in and made it through the security line.
My Mom wanted to get there early, however we might have gotten there a little too early.
We had 2.5 hours til our flight took off, so she walked Sadie around til she fell asleep.
Nash loved watching the planes take off.

Needless to say, My Mom and I were exhausted before the flight even took off.
Finally, we were able to board.
I took Nash's carseat on the plane and it was the best decision.
He loves his carseat and was very comfortable in it.

During take off

Nash slept for majority of the flight
I would say all but an hour of it.

Miss Sadie did not sleep a wink.

For the hour he was awake Nash played with his planes
Doing lots of barrel rolls and "hoopty hoops"
Even asked me if our plane could do a loopty loop
My reply, I am do not think it was a good idea

The kids did amazing and we arrived in Chicago with no issue
When we arrived Nash was in love with the moving side walks.
It was great entertainment for him and several of the other travelers
After we got our luggage, and piled it all onto a cart (or carried some of it while pushing the stroller)
We crazily made our way to the rental car bus.
Again, Mr. Nash was in awe.

After using our stroller as a cart to get our luggage up to our rental car,
we loaded it all in and harnessed the car seats in temperatures that were 40 degrees below where we came from.
Our Rental car was White Suburban and as we drove the two hours to Moline
we stopped for some food at Sonic.
When we got out of the car Nash exclaimed
"Noni, what happened to your car....it is white"
This kid did not understand that we actually went to another state and that this was not Noni's car.
Super cute!
We ate Sonic in Noni's car because it was too cold to eat anywhere else

We arrived at the hotel and went straight to bed.
My Mom asked Nash if he wanted to sleep with her in her bed.
His response " No, your snoring scares me"
hahahahahhaahhahahaha...my mom laughed
(she is on Ambien at night so she is out)

The next day we met up with Aunt Gloria and she took us to the John Deere Tractor Museum
It was one of the coolest places a little boy could go
They had all different types of tractors that you can climb up into
Nash was heaven
We even face timed Daddy while we were there to show him the excitement
and the tractors

They also had an amazing gift shop
I truly wanted to buy almost everything in there

However, we just got a few things

And Aunt Gloria got Nash this really cool backpack

In the morning, we went to get pancakes at a restaurant
Nash thought it was funny that his came with a face

That afternoon was the reception for my Cousin
Nash loved being around all his other cousins
These are all the great grand children of my maternal grandparents

The next day we all went bowling.
This was Nash's first time and he loved it

My Mom's siblings came to our hotel room the last night we were there.
It was so good to see them all together
On our way back to Chicago, Nash had to go potty
so in -12 degrees my Mom pulled over on the side of the road
and Nash went.
That was quite the experience.

My little travel buddy

Nash found a plane just like the plane we were flying on

 He is wearing headphones!

Everyone was exhausted!

The trip was a lot of fun
and we have tons of great memories.
Thanks Mom for letting it happen!

Beach Day

A couple of weeks ago
the weather was amazing
and we headed to the beach.
Nash asked if his cousin Leyton could come
so we invited him along.

The weather was amazing.
This was our little set up

Miss Sadie eating some Lunch

Daddy take me to the water

Look at those rolls

On the way to the beach Nash said
"Leyton, your my best friend"

Such cute cousin love

Nash and Leyton are 18 months apart

I think they are just getting to the age where they are starting to be able to enjoy each other

Nash really started to love the beach last summer.
We spent a lot of time at my parents house at the beach
and then also in Havasu.
He has become a beach babe.

Favorite thing to do is push his truck up to the water fill it
and then rush the water up the sand and dump it

It was a great day and the kids were exhausted afterwards
