The South

For the past two days, I have been sitting in conference rooms, staring out the window at the beautiful rolling hills of Charlotte, NC. It is funny how God works.  The caterers strolled in bringing in a taco bar from one of my favorite restaurants Salsaritas. The hotel I was staying at sat above a town center that contained most of Chris's favorite restaurants, which had me texting Chris some of our little inside jokes about them. While I was there, I could not help but think about all the many states that Chris and I have had the privilege to live in.

I guess you could say, I have a special place in my heart for the South.  The southern twang, the hospitality, the seasons, the special people that live in those states, the churches and our memories.  A part of me will always want to move back out there and I honestly think a very small part of my husband would like to also.

However, we have settled down in a state, that truly I thought I would never end up in.  I am not sure how long we will be here but for now it is our home. Maybe in the future, God might lead us back out to the South but inn the mean time, visiting will just have to do.
