Baby Nash is 18 Months Old

My Little Nasherson
Where has the time gone?
Another six months has gone by and I just want time to slow down
18 months!!
That is how old you are now
Size:
Length - 34 in
Weight - 27 lbs
Diapers - Size 4during the day 5 for sleep
Clothes - 18-24 months in most brands 2T in some
PJs - 3T
Speech:
You are talking up a storm these days.
Sometimes you get so animated about what you are talking about all I can do is laugh and kiss all over you.
We are hitting the phase were you so badly want us to understand what you are saying and when we do not you get so mad and frustrated.
Hopefully we can figure it out soon.
New words or phrases:
Please(Sees), Its Stuck, Go, You Stop(U Gop), More of This(Mo O Dis), Juice (Ju)
Food:
Still an amazing eater.
The past couple of weeks we have really concentrated on using utensils,
however you still favor your little fingers.
I struggle right now with giving you independence because I do not want the mess,
but as you can see in the above picture from Noni's house you love it.
So we let you have ice cream, juice boxes, and apple sauce by your self,
and Mommy is right there with the hose or mop to clean up.
Daddy has nick named you Mr. Mooch because you love to eat what ever anyone else is eating and will go up to the person and say "Dis, sees"
Updates:
We no longer have bottles, except for the empty ones.
Empty bottles are a form of pacifiers for you and you use them at night time
and any time you need a little extra comforting.
No more sleep sack
No more bumpers on your crib
Sippy Cups have been updated to Plastic tops
The Cart/High Chair Cover has found its way to the storage bin
Doors are now dead bolted as you have discovered to open doors.
Sleep:
You have been on the same sleep schedule for a while now.
Go to bed around 7:30pm and Wake up around 5:45am.
Nap is at 12:00 and is usually an hour to an hour and a half
Shows/Movies:
Toy Story 3 is the winning movie.  If you do not like what is on, you will take the remote and pointed it at the TV.
Sesame Street is another winner; along with Veggie Tales Live Concert

My Favorite things You Do:
  • Dancing - You have become quite the little dancer. You will stomp you feet as fast as you can, crouch down real low and then jump and then you spin. Oh the spin.  There is the right arm that goes up to shoulder height, crosses your body and you spin looking at your hand.
  • Cars - Cars and trains are everywhere.  These days you push the bottom cushion up to be flat against the back of the recliner.  Gather all of your cars and trains that are downstairs and put them on the frame and then you climb up on the chair and sit on the frame with a huge smile on your face.
  • When you are hungry, you go to the pantry to find some food to eat. Recently, you grab the French Onion strips...you know the kind that go on top of green bean casserole.  Of course, I do not provide you those wonderful deliciousness but you still grab them and hand them to me.
  • Sitting at your picnic table is one of your favorites.  But you do not sit at it normally, oh no, you back up to the table, sit on the bench with your back towards the table and swinging your chubby legs as you eat.
  • The arrival of someone you know is so funny.  You start stomping and then you will do a little circle and then go sit at the person's feet and bounce up and down.  Then look at the person with a huge smile.  It gets me every time.
Piling everything up...no toy is left behind
Toys:
You fell in love with your Uncle Hunter's train set at Noni's house,
so Noni bought you a starter kit.
It is by far your most favorite toy that is downstairs.
Other favorite toys are:
Cars, blocks, books, puzzles, jump jump, pull toys and trampoline
Out and About:
You are the best companion to have on our shopping trips.
You laugh and point to all the little kids.
When we go out to eat you are easily entertained by cars, books and food
You love to be on the go!
Daddy:
You are in love with your Daddy
Which is a good thing because you are so alike sometimes.
Especially in the food department:)
To big for your britches:
You are constantly trying to be just like Daddy or the older kids.
See above you are climbing the ladder to the top where Daddy was.
I am finding myself always looking to see what you are doing next and how to prevent some craziness.
Little Man, I cannot believe you are 18 months. I wish time would just slow down and we could keep you little forever. However, I know God has a plan for you and I pray that you grow to know him and love him.

Playing Football

Everyone is so excited about the news that Peyton Manning may come to AZ
that football is being played everywhere.

The other day we were at the park and there were some boys playing football.
Nash was very amused with these boys
and watched with excitement.

He then decided to take Chris over to play with them

Nash just joined right in
took the ball

he would throw it

and chase after the ball

Like I have said...our little guy is all boy

Long Time Friends

I was so excited when I found out that one of my closest friends husband
was traded to the Diamondbacks.

Daniele and I go back to single A ball in Dayton OH.
Boy were those the days.
She newly married and me newly engaged.

Now we have little ones and it is so fun
to watch this friendship blossom.

Miss Lanier is 11 months old
and she had no problem bossing Nash around.

They had so much fun together
and most likely will hate this pic when they get older.

They loved playing with each other:)
Hopefully her Daddy will make the team
and we can see her a lot this season.

Weekend Visitors

My Parents and little sisters came out for a visit a couple of weekends ago.
It is always so nice to have family come visit.

The weather was beautiful and we were able to walk around our little neighborhood.
We walked from main street up to the golf course.

Gramps is such a prankster.

Auntie Maddie is such a great helper!
Nash just loves her and he knows when she is around he has someone who will take him anywhere

Noni and Gramps came bearing gifts.
They brought Nash's water table that he got from Christmas.

Nash chasing the girls

Noni and Gramps also got Nash a jungle gym

He was in love
He now can climb up on his own
He will climb up the slide
Crawl through the tunnels at the bottom

During the weekend we also made it over to the train park.
There was a carousel
and lots of trains
a great park
and lots of land to run

Thanks Mom and Dad! The visit was just what we needed

Up on top

Nash's  little girlfriend Arlie is a daredevil.
She has no fear.
Climbs on everything and jumps off of everything.

Nash has taken a liking to this daredevil thing.
He thinks Arlie and her mother Kayla
are the best thing since sliced bread.
(in fact I think Nash is in love with Kayla...
he just gives her lovey eyes the whole time she is around)

Nash just giggles and giggles when Arlie is here
and trys to do everything she does.
The other day I was switching the Laundry
and Nash was like this.

yep...he climbed on top of the table
and thought everything was normal
Looks like we might have another Heather

Parks

Nash is all boy!
Chris and I have been taking Nash out to the parks here in our neighborhood.
And Nash is soaking it all in!
He loves everything about the park.

He is a climber and very independent.

He has mastered the swaying bridge

He loves to play with the music

and the spin picture.

He likes to drive the ship.

His most favorite things at the park are walking around in the grass and

chasing all the kids on their bikes, scooters, or boards.

This age is soo fun! Chris and I are really enjoying the adventure Nash has brought.

Bubbles

The weather has been wonderful here in AZ.
Nash has been taking great advantage of the weather and
we have helped by getting him some fun new toys.
(More to come on those toys in later posts this week)

One thing we got him were bubbles.
At first he was unsure of them.

Taking a greater look at them and seeing what these bubbles are all about.

But hey...bubbles are so fun!

School

As I have mentioned before, Nash started school a couple of weeks ago.
He goes twice a week and really starting to like it.

His teacher has said that he has started to cry less when we drop him off and
he has started to interact with the other kids.
These pictures were taken the other day after school.
