It has begun

I know Spring Training has begun when we start having BBQs with our baseball family. Chris and I hosted the first BBQ of this Spring Training on Saturday. We had five couples over: Lutz, Heisey, Wood, Cozart and Boxberger.

On the Menu:
Man Dip and chips(Brittany's specialty dish)
Mini Hot Dogs wrapped in Bacon covered in Brown Sugar (Served by Danielle)
Ranch Dip and chips (also brought by Danielle)
Ribs (Chris BBQ them)
Homemade Mac and Cheese (courtesy of Lisa's family recipe)
Salad (Me)
and for desert....
homemade chocolate chip cookies (baked by Chelsea)
Dirt with gummy worms (created by Anna)

The food was delicious and the company was even better!
I did not take very many pics and I am bummed about it

The highlight of the night was this puzzle of Times Square.
Chris and I started working on it at Thanksgiving and it was so hard that we were not able to finish it. So we brought it to Spring Training.
The boys and some of the girls at times worked on the puzzle during the BBQ and it still did not get finished.

The next morning Chris and I worked on it and we...
finished it!!!!!

Here is to a great Spring Training

Lake Havasu - Feb 2011

Good Morning Lake Havasu!
This was Nash's first time up to the house in Lake Havasu.
I would say he loved it there and got a lot of loving on while he was there.
Watching the sunset with Nana
Sleeping with Papi

Watching Daddy cook
Now this trip was much different than any other Havasu trip. Usually it is in the 100s and we go out on the lake to cool off and jump in the water. Well this trip it was in 50s and we were all bundled up.

Then men decided that they wanted to take the new boat out on the water to show Bev how nice it was. Chris was in heaven because he was able to tow it behind his truck and put it in the water.

Nash's first time on the lake

Nash is obsessed, I mean obsessed with lights. He will find them and just stare at them.

The last day we were there, Bev and Tom bought a firepit! We are lucky enough to have borrowed it while we are Spring Training. I love fires outside!

Thanks Nana and Papi for a fun time in Havasu

The Nash Rambler

When we decided to name Nash, I did not know that there was a car named The Nash Rambler. Well, Nash's Great Uncle Chris(Chris's Uncle) is an avid car connoisseur and bought an old Nash Rambler. He restored the car and made it like new. Gruncle Chris drove it to Nash's Dedication. The car was amazing and if only Nash could drive this when he turns 16.
