Park Playdate

Chris's parents and brother and his family came out this weekend to experience opening weekend of Spring Training. Saturday morning we decided to take my niece and nephew to the park and met up with some of the baseball wives (Danielle Lutz and Elaine Bray) and their kids. It was a lot of fun and so exciting to be back at Spring Training to see everyone!

Weekend in San Diego

Nash and I spent last weekend at my parents house in San Diego. We ate at this amazing Italian Restaurant in Del Mar. Afterwards we went down to the ocean to look for whales and dolphins and they were there!
That night Nash got a bath from Noni and Gramps!

Nash loved his time with Noni and Gramps! However he missed his Aunties..who were at my Grandparents house for the weekend.

Baby Nash is 3 Months old

3 Months

Munchkin you are 3 months old today
Your Daddy and I are just in love with you.
There are times that you are sleeping and we just look at each other and cannot believe you are here and we made you.
We are so blessed that you are our son.
Every minute is a special one.

What are you up to these days:
  • Weight: 14lbs 3 oz 75th %
  • Length: 23 1/2 in 30th %
  • We just switched you over from breast feeding to formula. This switch was a hard decision for your Daddy and I because you were doing so well with the breast milk. However, you were having a lot of tummy issues and I was not producing enough for you at certain times. At first we were just going to supplement the night feeding, but you took to formula and your tummy issues went away. Now you are thriving on the soy based formula.
  • You eat 4-5 oz during the day every feeding and 6 oz right before bed time.
  • We have some what of a schedule, you take a morning nap around 9:30 - 10 and then another afternoon nap around 2 or 3. Then we have bathtime at 7:30 and then we let you play. Feed you and put you to bed around 9.
  • You have been sleeping 7 hours and wake up for a feeding and then you sleep another 4 hours. This has been wonderful! Your Daddy still does the night feeding to allow me to get up early in the morning for work.
  • You have started to make bubbles that come from your mouth.
  • During bathtime you kick your feet and love to have them splash against the tub.
  • You still hate tummy time.
  • I get to wake up every morning to a smiling and happy baby. This is divine.
  • We have started to use the mobi wrap more because we are concerned that the back of your head is getting to flat. To help with this we have you on your tummy more and carrying you around more. At nap time you lay on your side, however you still find a way to end up on your back again.
  • You are still being swaddled to go to sleep.
  • Laughing has just started and it is the cutest thing.
  • You had your first cold. Daddy brought it home from the field.
  • Wearing Size 2 diapers
  • Tops are Size 3-6 months, onsies 6 months, PJ's 6-9 months, bottoms 3-6 months
  • When we talk to you, you coo back at us....I am loving this. I have somebody to talk to all day
  • Favorite Toy is the activity matt. You love to kick and hit the little things that hang down from it
  • You are obsessed with lights. Anything that has contrast you love
  • You have discovered you fingers. When we feed you or hold you, you scratch our backs with your fingers. I am in love
We love you munchkin! Here is to another month!

It has begun

I know Spring Training has begun when we start having BBQs with our baseball family. Chris and I hosted the first BBQ of this Spring Training on Saturday. We had five couples over: Lutz, Heisey, Wood, Cozart and Boxberger.

On the Menu:
Man Dip and chips(Brittany's specialty dish)
Mini Hot Dogs wrapped in Bacon covered in Brown Sugar (Served by Danielle)
Ranch Dip and chips (also brought by Danielle)
Ribs (Chris BBQ them)
Homemade Mac and Cheese (courtesy of Lisa's family recipe)
Salad (Me)
and for desert....
homemade chocolate chip cookies (baked by Chelsea)
Dirt with gummy worms (created by Anna)

The food was delicious and the company was even better!
I did not take very many pics and I am bummed about it

The highlight of the night was this puzzle of Times Square.
Chris and I started working on it at Thanksgiving and it was so hard that we were not able to finish it. So we brought it to Spring Training.
The boys and some of the girls at times worked on the puzzle during the BBQ and it still did not get finished.

The next morning Chris and I worked on it and we...
finished it!!!!!

Here is to a great Spring Training
