Join in on the excitement!

You read it correctly!
Chris and I are expecting our second child towards the end of the year.
My official due date is Jan 1st, however with my history this baby could come anytime from the end of Nov to beginning of Jan.

This pregnancy was not planned. Chris and I were completely surprised.
If I am going to be very honest, when I found out I cried out of shock.
Not because I did not want this baby but.....
I just had Nash
This was not fair to Nash
I have not forgotten the pains of labor(everyone promised I would)
All the baby weight gain from Nash is not gone (still had about 10 lbs)
Pregnancy was not kind to me with Nash
How in the world are we going to handle two babies that are 13-14 months apart
What is everyone going to think
After the first few phone calls...to my Mom and my friend Dianna
and balling my eyes out. They reminded me that ALL children are a blessing from God.
"Behold, children are a gift of the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward" Psalm 127:3
I should view this pregnancy as a huge blessing.
After the trials, drugs and years of trying to get pregnant with Nash,
God blessed us with a perfect gift when we least expected it.
Dianna told me that with your second baby you will always wonder how you could love another baby as much as your first. But once you hold the baby the love is there.
It is amazing how God works!!!!!

Chris and I are now completely over the moon about this baby.
    The fears are still there:
how will we handle two small babies
what does this mean for Chris's baseball career
what do we do about my job once the baby is born
financially...(why does money not grow on trees?!?!?!?)
But the one thing we know,
"I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me" Philippians 4:13

So please join Chris, Nash and I as we celebrate the new life that has been gifted to us!
We would love for you to join us in prayers for the little one and our family.

      Praise be to God!

      This week in Nash's world

Nash has been really working hard on sitting on his own.
He does great for about 10 minutes and then loses focus and falls.

Nash is playing with a toy that his Auntie Holly and Uncle Andrew, Michael and Tay Tay gave him!
He loves it. However, he is still a little to young to put the balls in the slides so we help him out.

This is the face we get when we put Nash down for a nap in the afternoon.
He loves to lay down and watch his sport mobile.

      More sitting and toy playing

      The summer heat has arrived!
We have been in the 100s for the past couple of days.
To celebrate summer, Chris and I bought a blow up pool for the Nasherson.
He was not sure what to think about it at first.

and then he started to love it.

      Sitting

Nash has been working on sitting and he is getting good.

We try to make it fun, by giving him activities to do while he sits.
      Like throwing a ball:)

He has conquered sitting and controlling moving back and forth.

However, we still need work when we start to fall to either side.

      Happy Sitting Everyone!

      More from San Diego

I have some pictures that I did not post from our San Diego trip.

This is what every morning looked like.
Micah and Nash would watch some TV while they woke up.
It was really cute because Micah Mae (Auntie M&M) would explain the show to Nash.
He would look at her and then look back to the TV.

Once everyone got ready for the day, Micah would practice the piano and Nash would just stare at her.
He would giggle and laugh and enjoy her piano playing.

Nash loved his time with his Noni.

Nash and I were also able to visit one of my best friends Dianna and her little ones!
Her youngest Annika is about 3 months older than Nash.
Nash was so big compared to her. It was funny because she is up crawling and pulling up on items and Nash is just learning how to sit. It was interesting because I felt like he should be at the same development level as her.

Micah went with me and Brayden just loved her. He was so excited to see us.
      It was a great feeling.

Brayden had a new hairstyle while we were there and was very proud of it:)

Then on our drive home I had the best traveling buddy.
He slept most of the way home.
Which was nice for the 6 hour drive.

      Big and Fun Announcement

Chris and I have a fun and BIG announcement to make in the next couple of weeks! We need to tie up some loose ends. Stay tuned.........

      San Diego for the week

Nash and I took a much needed visit to my Parents house in San Diego on Saturday.
We will be here for the week.
We do miss our Daddy, but it is so nice to have cool weather and built in babysitters who are your little sisters.

On Sunday night, my Mom hosted a 4-5 grade Keepers bible study for little sister Micah Mae.
My Mom has always hosted bible studies for us girls and it was finally Micah's turn.
This particular study is about the Fruit of the Spirit.
Each time they meet they will go into depth about one of the fruits.
      This Sunday was about kindness.
Also, during the study they do one activity.
      Tonight's activity.....making pizzas!

My Mom showed them how to make the dough from scratch.

Nash was just chillin' during the dough making process

Once the dough was made ....
(my Mom had already made some dough earlier in the day and then divided into small pieces to provide an individual pizza dough to each girl)
      the slicing of the vegetables

I had put Nash down to take some pictures and he found a light that he was in love with.

After the pizzas were made and eaten, the girls gathered in the the living room for some learning.
It was great to see the girls so into the fruit, kindness and yelling out examples of kindness.

On another note, the weather has been amazing while we have been here.
Nash has been spending a lot of time outside with his Auntie Maddie on the swing set!
      He is in Heaven.

      I think Maddie is too.
