Nash at 3.5

Nash
At 3.5 years old, you are one loving little boy.
You are a thinker and an inventor.
Some of the things you say just make us laugh or amaze us.
You love Jesus and church,
and I pray that your enthusiasm for the Bible continues as you get older.

It is summer time and you have taken to swimming.
You go to swim lessons every Monday.
At swim lessons you have accomplished holding your breath for a count of 10 while floating on your tummy,
floating on your back for a count of 10
swimming down to the bottom of the pool and touching the animals
and now diving into the pool.

You have no fear and love going to our pool every evening with Daddy.

Sleep:
You have become such a great sleeper
You can sleep anywhere these days
You do not fall asleep easily but once you do you are out.
You still take a nap everyday
which then you go to bed at 9

Your love of guns has taken off this summer.
I think from playing Buzz Lightyear at Disneyland and then with all the water guns.
Yesterday you made a plane out of legos and told me it had three different guns
one for the snow
one for the water
and one for space

You love to exercise with Mama.
You encourage me by saying "Focus Mama, You can do it"

You have really matured over the last six months.
Daddy can pick you up from class and take you out to lunch at his cafeteria
and then take you back to class for nap and you do not throw a fit.
You look forward to when Daddy comes and gets you
and then you go right to sleep when he drops you off.
On top of that he lets you pick what you want for lunch and you eat most of it.

You have become very independent.
You like to get your own cup out of the cupboard and get
At swim lessons you ask if you can float all by your self.
You want to go to the bathroom all by "myself" and close the door.
You like to explore all by your self at the park
You will go up to your room and build your "plegos"

You are still not interested much in sports.
However, Daddy was watching Hockey Playoffs and you were all about it.
In fact you asked Daddy to take you to buy a hockey helmet, stick and puck.
(these were a little hard to find in CA)

You also started some soccer classes.
It is all about the outfits, you want to make sure you are wearing what you think the athletes wear on tv.
Here you wanted a black shirt, black shorts and soccer cleats

Fun Sayings of Nash:

There is a Golf Player named Rory Mcilroy and Nash calls him "Holy Mackerel"

We went to eat out and the All Star Baseball game was on and he told the lady,
"Can we sit here I want to watch the baseball movie"
She said who is your favorite player; Nash said "My Daddy, he played for the red guys"
then she asked "Other than your daddy who is your favorite player."
Nash said "All the other Red Guys"

Nash has started to call us "Mom and Dad" instead of Mama and Daddy

Nash calls all doors gates

Nash was playing upstairs and I was baking a pot pie in the oven, he yelled down
"Mama, what you makin? You makin muffins because it smells delicious"

The other night Nash asked for a snack. I asked him what he would like.
His response "Ummmm, pancakes, eggs, bacon and a cheese sandwich"
"Nash that is not a snack that is dinner."
"Ok Mama, then just a cheese sandwich"

While driving home, out of the blue Nash says to me
"We have to go to Disneyland right now because Buzz Light year is going to miss me"

Nash you are very sensitive little guy. You would your pjs all day every day
if I would let you.
You love the ocean and your family.
