San Diego Part II

This post is long over due, especially since Nash and I just got back from spending another two weeks back in Cali!  But I want to make sure I document this trip.

So here is the second half of our trip to San Diego.

The weather was really nice while we were in SD; so we took advantage of it and spent a lot of time outside.  We played in the backyard and went to the parks.

Nash has conquered slides of all sizes and goes down on his tummy, head first.
This has not caused any problems until this last time we were in SD when he fell on some wood chips
and scraped his lip:(

While I was in town, my dearest friend Dianna had her Third baby.
I have never been in town to celebrate one of her children's birth and was so excited I could be there!
It is wonderful to be able to give back to a friend who has been there for me through some of the roughest times in my life.
We were able to celebrate in this amazing time in her life!

Dianna, Brian and Miss Marinn

Miss Marinn
Such a beautiful baby

He is obsessed with closing doors.
This is him about to shut himself in the bathroom.
Look at that smirk

This is what my Mom's formal living looks like every time Nash is town.

He tends to leave his trains and cars in all fun spots that my Dad finds after we leave.
I say it is his present to remember him by

Next will be some summer fun we have had!

San Diego July 2012 Part 1

My parents went on an amazing trip to Paris, France for a week and Nash and I went out to my parents house to keep my little sisters company.

We were there a total of three weeks!! Can you believe it?!?!?!

It was so nice to get out of the heat of Arizona, however it was the hottest week in San Diego. However, it was still about 30 degrees less than Arizona.

Below are some pictures from our first week there.

Nash loves his Aunties

Micah Mae is starting Middle School this year and made the school's
cheer leading team.  This week she went to cheer camp with her school.
Doesn't she look so cute in her cheer outfit.
 Nash loves watching Micah cheer.

Nash played outside as much as he could because the weather
was so much cooler than home

One of my closest friends from Middle School came out for a vacation with her husband
Sarah Benko!
The time was just amazing and brought back so many memories and new ones
were made.
We went to Coronado on Saturday weekend.

Nash wanted to go in the ocean

Maddie wanted to rent one of these fun bikes.  I have to say it was fun
and Nash was not sure what to think about it:) But he was a trooper and rode for a good half hour.

When we got home later that day, we turned on the sprinkler for Mr. Nash.

Then there was some wrestling on the trampoline

The evening ended with some dinner and volleyball.

It was a great first week!!!

We're Back!

We had the most wonderful three weeks in San Diego.  Our whole little family got back yesterday and Nash walked into the house like he had never seen it before.  He said "WoooooW" to all of his toys, like they were all new.

I have so many pictures to post, but will leave with these few.  Nash loves having his Daddy/wrestling partner back.

Hope everyone is having a great summer so far!

Havasu and the 4th

We have spent the last week in Havasu at the Family Lake House.
Nash had so much fun with his Nana and Pappi, Aunts and Uncles and lots of cousins.
Below are only some of the moments that were captured.

Nash loved to run outside and chase the dogs and play with his cousins.

Nash so badly wanted to be like his older cousins

Playing in the house after the Lake

On the 4th, we were greeted with gray skies and rain, but we made the most of it.
The four older cousins

Taylor and Joella

Michael and Leyton

The whole family still made it out on the Lake.

Joella and Nash became great friends.
She encouraged him to come and play in the water.
They cheered on all the wake boarders.

One of Nash's favorite things to do was to push his dump truck in the water.

Havasu was a great time.

He has a sense of Humor

Our little guy might not say many words but he sure does have a sense of humor with the words he can say.  Below is an example.

We are checking out at Walmart.  Nash is sitting in the front part of the cart.  The checkout lady is talking to Nash, asking him questions.  In my mind, I am thinking he does not talk so do not expect an answer.

All of the sudden Nash tries to get out of the cart.  He gets one of his feet out of the holes and then trying to get his other foot out.  He starts yelling, "I stuck, I stuck".

I say "No Nash you are not stuck Momma has you strapped in"

His reply "I stuck, I stuck".

The checkout lady thought this was pretty funny.

Nash and I's conversation continues until I put him in his car seat.

Just another day in the life of Mr. Nasherson

Baby Nash is 18 Months Old

My Little Nasherson
Where has the time gone?
Another six months has gone by and I just want time to slow down

Speech:
You are talking up a storm these days.
Sometimes you get so animated about what you are talking about all I can do is laugh and kiss all over you.
We are hitting the phase were you so badly want us to understand what you are saying and when we do not you get so mad and frustrated.
Hopefully we can figure it out soon.
New words or phrases:
Please(Sees), Its Stuck, Go, You Stop(U Gop), More of This(Mo O Dis), Juice (Ju)
Food:
Still an amazing eater.
The past couple of weeks we have really concentrated on using utensils,
however you still favor your little fingers.
I struggle right now with giving you independence because I do not want the mess,
but as you can see in the above picture from Noni's house you love it.
So we let you have ice cream, juice boxes, and apple sauce by your self,
and Mommy is right there with the hose or mop to clean up.
Daddy has nick named you Mr. Mooch because you love to eat what ever anyone else is eating and will go up to the person and say "Dis, sees"
Updates:
We no longer have bottles, except for the empty ones.
Empty bottles are a form of pacifiers for you and you use them at night time
and any time you need a little extra comforting.
No more sleep sack
No more bumpers on your crib
Sippy Cups have been updated to Plastic tops
The Cart/High Chair Cover has found its way to the storage bin
Doors are now dead bolted as you have discovered to open doors.
Sleep:
You have been on the same sleep schedule for a while now.
Go to bed around 7:30pm and Wake up around 5:45am.
Nap is at 12:00 and is usually an hour to an hour and a half
Shows/Movies:
Toy Story 3 is the winning movie.  If you do not like what is on, you will take the remote and pointed it at the TV.
Sesame Street is another winner; along with Veggie Tales Live Concert

My Favorite things You Do:
  • Dancing - You have become quite the little dancer. You will stomp you feet as fast as you can, crouch down real low and then jump and then you spin. Oh the spin.  There is the right arm that goes up to shoulder height, crosses your body and you spin looking at your hand.
  • Cars - Cars and trains are everywhere.  These days you push the bottom cushion up to be flat against the back of the recliner.  Gather all of your cars and trains that are downstairs and put them on the frame and then you climb up on the chair and sit on the frame with a huge smile on your face.
  • When you are hungry, you go to the pantry to find some food to eat. Recently, you grab the French Onion strips...you know the kind that go on top of green bean casserole.  Of course, I do not provide you those wonderful deliciousness but you still grab them and hand them to me.
  • Sitting at your picnic table is one of your favorites.  But you do not sit at it normally, oh no, you back up to the table, sit on the bench with your back towards the table and swinging your chubby legs as you eat.
  • The arrival of someone you know is so funny.  You start stomping and then you will do a little circle and then go sit at the person's feet and bounce up and down.  Then look at the person with a huge smile.  It gets me every time.
Piling everything up...no toy is left behind
Toys:
You fell in love with your Uncle Hunter's train set at Noni's house,
so Noni bought you a starter kit.
It is by far your most favorite toy that is downstairs.
Other favorite toys are:
Cars, blocks, books, puzzles, jump jump, pull toys and trampoline
Out and About:
You are the best companion to have on our shopping trips.
You laugh and point to all the little kids.
When we go out to eat you are easily entertained by cars, books and food
You love to be on the go!
Daddy:
You are in love with your Daddy
Which is a good thing because you are so alike sometimes.
Especially in the food department:)
To big for your britches:
You are constantly trying to be just like Daddy or the older kids.
See above you are climbing the ladder to the top where Daddy was.
I am finding myself always looking to see what you are doing next and how to prevent some craziness.
Little Man, I cannot believe you are 18 months. I wish time would just slow down and we could keep you little forever. However, I know God has a plan for you and I pray that you grow to know him and love him.
