Baby Nash is 7 Months Old

7 months
This last month has been so fun.
You have been growing so much and I feel like this is the month that you no longer are a "tiny" baby.
Munchkin you have accomplished so much this month.
Daddy and I have loved every second that we get to have with you.
We sneak into your room at night once you are asleep and just stare at you.
I wish I could climb in the crib with you to snuggle, but Daddy stops me.
Weight: 21 lbs 6 oz
You are a big boy! The doctors have commented about how big you are for me.
They cannot believe I have such a big a little boy and I just tell them that you are made after your Daddy.
Achievements:
Sitting - You are starting to conquer sitting. We can have you sit on your own for about 20 minutes and you will just sit there and play with all your toys.  If a toy is still too far from your reach you will grunt until someone moves it closer. You still fall when you lose your balance.  We are trying to teach you to catch yourself.
Talking - Talking (baby noises) have never been a problem for you. However, this month you started to say "mama" and "MMMMMMMM" anytime you eat. Daddy has said that the first time you say  "Dada" he will be in your room in an instant and pick you up from the crib;) You love to talk to items and just babble all the time.
Interaction with us - You have really started to interact with Daddy and I.  If Daddy makes certain sounds you will copy him. If we start laughing at you, you will start laughing with us!
Standing - We can get you to stand by yourself against the big cube while you play with the balls on the top. Your little chunky legs are so strong!
Laughing - You will laugh at something that you think is funny...it could be on TV, your Daddy, or when your Daddy tickles you!

Food:
You are eating stage two Gerber baby food.
In the morning you eat two tablespoons of Oatmeal, mixed with a fruit.
Lunch you will either eat green beans or peas and a different fruit.
Dinner is squash or sweet potato and another fruit.
Fruits that you eat - Apples, Apples Blueberry, Pears, Pears Pineapple, Bananas, Apples Strawberry Bananas, and Peaches.
Bottles: You are down to four 6 oz bottles a day. One before your morning nap, one before your afternoon nap, afternoon snack and then right before dinner.
We have started to give you some table foods...avocados, bananas, rice, beans and sauces...the doctor has advised us to stop until you are 9 months old because of your reflux problems.
Water - You have been drinking out of a sippy cup with your meals. However, you have not grasped the concept of when to stop drinking the water and you drink to much and start to choke. But you have the concept down.

Favorite things:
Stroller- The above picture is what we call your stroller face. You love to be on the go and in your stroller. However, when you are in your stroller all we get to see is this face! You do not smile when other people are talking to you. No sounds come out of you. You are just content to be where you are at and taking in all the scenes.
Jump Jump - This is probably still your favorite toy.  When we hold you and stand you on our laps you will act like you are in your Jump Jump. In fact, your Sunday School teachers asked us what type of Jump Jump you had when we came to pick you up. They said all you did was act like you were in your jump jump! You are so strong that you pull the toys out of their sockets and then you are so proud of yourself!
Toys - You love strings. The phone has a string and you play with the string more than your toy phone.
Noni gave you a drum that you fell in love with at her house. It sings and makes noise anytime you hit it.
You love this little book that makes crinkle sounds when you move it or squeeze it.
The little red Train. If we want you to stay on your tummy, Daddy will move the train around and you will just follow the train with your eyes and head.
Burp Cloths - You are in love with your burp cloths. We will put you down to sleep with a burp cloth. It has become your comfort.
TV - You have two movies you are in love with and two TV shows.
Movies - Princess and the Frog - you love the mickey at the beginning that whistles.  We will play this on repeat four or five times when you are really fussy.
Toy Story 3 - you love the first part but as soon as he grows up you lose interest.
Chuggington - You love the red train Wilson and laugh every time he appears
Handy Manny - this show just grabs your attention.

Teething - We are still working on teething.  You still have no teeth. Every time you go to the doctor, the doctor points out the teeth that are coming but all I see are your little swollen gums. You love to suck on your teething ring or a wash cloth!

 Spitting Up:
You have been a spitter from the time you were born.
So bad that we have to cover the floors with a sheet or the couch with a sheet to protect them.
We have been to the doctor to discuss this issue.
He says you have really bad reflux and he gave us instructions:
After anytime you eat, we have to keep you upright and not jumping;) for at least 30 minutes.
After bottles, we put you in the swing and put a show on for you.
After food, we leave you in your high chair and usually put on a movie and you play with toys on your tray.
This has been working for us.
The Doc also prescribed medicine, the first one did not work and now you are on Prevacid.
The spitting up has calmed down and you do not do it nearly as much as you had been.
This is a great sign.

Looking forward to:
crawling
more words
teeth

Biscuit -
We love you so much and enjoy watching you grow and learn.
The next month will hold a lot of change for us and I hope that we can all handle it.
God be our guide!
