Carry Each other Burdens

There is something to be said about amazing friendships.
Friendships that turn into sisters through Christ.

I have been blessed to have two amazing friends
that are my sisters in Christ.

They are the type of friends that you can tell ANYTHING to.
You know what you tell them does not go past their lips

We live in different states so we do not get to see each other
But that does not stop the encouraging texts with verses
Books that arrive via snail mail:)
(isn't snail mail amazing)
and phone calls

My Youth Pastor's Wife wrote a post today and she had a verse on it that was so appropriate for my two dear friends:
"Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ"
Galatians 6:2

Thank you my dear friends Dianna and Annie. Your friendship means the world to me and I am so glad that you help carry my burdens because I could not live this life without your sweet persistence and encouragement!

Friends

Yesterday, Chris and I had some visitors stop by. One of my best friends Lindsay, over at Lee La La, and her little daughter Landyn came over to see me and our new little place. It is so much fun to be home and see our friends and family

Overnight Vistors

We were so excited to see our friends the Straits last night. They were on their way home from Chicago after the end of baseball season and our house was exactly half way! They arrived last night and stayed until this morning. Chris made pancakes and coffee for the house this morning. It was great catching up with Missy, Cody and little Asher! Hope everyone had a great Labor Day.

Celebration Dinner

My Brother, Hunter, graduated from UCLA this weekend. On Saturday evening, we held a celebration dinner. In Smith tradition, we went and ate at this amazing BBQ restaurant Wood Ranch. We have had Wood Ranch for every graduation that we have had in the Smith Household. So it was nice that we could carry it on again.

My long time close friend, Lindsay and her family, came out to help celebrate! Thanks Lindz:)

My Dad's side of the family also made it out. My grandparents and my Aunt and Uncle

It was so much fun to talk and hang out with Family and Friends. We missed Chris but he was there with his Bruin spirit. (I was so sick this day and it took everything in me to not throw up all over the food or the lovely people that were sitting around me at dinner)

Friend Visiting

Past few days have been wonderful.

One of the baseball wives that I met during Spring Training, drove down from Louisville to visit. We have grown really close since Spring Training and it has been great hanging out once again.

Staci and I have enjoyed many great meals at lots of fun restaurants, amazing shopping (with a stop at Nordstroms which we both have missed dearly) and honestly just hanging out and catching up.

Unfortunately, we have not taken any pictures, but maybe we will tomorrow. I will be sad when she leaves tomorrow, but glad that I know we can chat anytime and know our paths will cross once again in the baseball world.

Season has Started

Baseball is in full swing and we are loving it.

It is funny how at the beginning of the season, you realize how much you miss the baseball music, the between inning games, the fans, the food (esp. the nachos) and watching your husband play. All this excitement starts to wear off, but at least for now it is great.

This past week Chris has been home and we are playing some old teammates of Chris. One of those guys, is my really close friend's husband, Cody Strait. I am sad that Missy was not able to make it out but hopefully we will catch up again through out the season.

If you would like to follow Chris, you can! Just click the link below and follow his team:)

Hope everyone is having a happy beginning baseball season!

Fun Mail

With Chris and I not living close to family, we usually do not get the birthday invitations or any fun mail. Well, a couple of weeks ago we got some fun mail. I love to get mail, it makes you feel loved. Here is a pic of the fun mail we got.
