*Warning picture overload...long post*
8 Months Old
You are one big loving kid
Daddy and I are just loving this time with you
Laughing, Squealing, Talking and Moving...are just a few things we cannot get enough of!
Size: Weight - 22 lbs 5 oz
Height - ?
You are the size of most one year olds.
Strangers ask your age and then are shocked that you are only 8 months old.
You are wearing size 18 month onsies.
PJs (one pieces) are 18-24 months
Gap clothing you are between 6-12 and 12-18 months.
Target clothing 18 months
Babies R Us clothing 18 months
Sitting: You are a pro at sitting.
However, you love to fall backwards and now it is on purpose.
You lean your head back as far as you can and arch your back
and then fall.
These actions have made your Daddy and I put a pillow behind you when we are downstairs on tile floor.
If you want to play with a toy, you will lean as far forward as you can to reach it.
Eating: Everything goes in your mouth except for food!
Not sure why, but we will put puffs or finger food on your tray and you will reach for everything but those.
You have four bottles of formula a day 6 oz per bottle.
We are trying to go down to three bottles a day and giving you the sippy cup and mum mums in the afternoon.
The sippy cup seems to be more of a toy right now then a tool to drink out of.
But that is ok...you do get some liquid out of it.
I have this huge fear of choking which has caused me to be a little slower in introducing finger foods to you.
However, I have over come the fear a little bit and we have introduced the following table foods:
green beans, peaches, applesauce, bananas, rice and pears
It is so cute, you try to pick them up with your fingers and bring it up to your mouth.
The food either sticks to your fingers or falls before it gets into your mouth. However, you act like it gets in there and chew and swallow.
When you chew your food, you move the food over to the side of your mouth and chew it to death and then swallow it. Sometimes you act like you are choking and do this little fake cough. But you do not fool me...at least not now.
We are trying to teach you a little sign language. When you are done eating we put our hands up and yell"All Done". You think it is funny and have started to lift your hands with us

Moving: You are a mover!
We call you our little bulldozer.
You will now roll all over the place, over pillows, toys, nothing will stop you.
You do this funny yoga like pose, where you are on your side and stick you leg straight up in the air.
It is really funny and I need to get a picture of it.
You have started to eat your toes and have become enthralled with your feet and legs.
It makes it really hard to get a good picture of you.
You roll over in bed
and to get to different toys you scoot backwards.
Personality: You are a strong willed little boy
That being said you know what you want.
You grunt until we figure it out and sometimes that takes a while.
Mostly it is because you are hungry or tired but occasionally it is because you are bored and want to move to the next activity.
You love your Daddy and Me.
You smile when you see us and sometimes laugh.
You are not afraid of strangers and have a huge interest in kids.
Loud noises seem to not bother you as much. Could be from all the construction going on at the house.
Snuggling is still not part of your vocabulary.
You are one independent little one.
Sleep: You go to bed around 7 and wake up at 5:45/6
Makes for very early mornings.
Recently, you have been waking up in the middle of the night.
Daddy and I am not sure what is going on. And it is not the same time every night.
It is so odd.
You still take two naps a day 8:30 and 2 for about 2 hours each.
However, you have been fighting the second nap recently.
When going to bed, you like to sleep in just a shirt and a diaper. We put your sleep sack on and you are out.
In the middle of the night we give you a 4 oz bottle and then let you keep the bottle and usually you go back to sleep soon after.
Hair: Oh your poor hair.
I thought you were going to blessed with having your daddy's hair.
However, it looks like you have inherited my hair.
You seem to be losing it instead of getting more hair.
The hair that exists on your head is the hair that you had at birth.
Schedule: Little Man you are a very scheduled baby.
You do not like to be off your schedule.
You wake up around 5:45 and we sit and watch some chuggington.
Most of the time you want down and play within 10 minutes of sitting down.
You will play until around 7:15 and then want breakfast.
Play some more and then bottle at 8 and then nap.
Wake up around 10:30 and we play upstairs
Lunch at 11:30
Bottle at 1:45/2
Nap until 3:30/4
We play some more and then eat dinner at 5:45
Play and then Bath at 6:30
Bottle and Bedtime at 7
Wheeewwww
Favorite Toys: By Far the Jump Jump is your favorite
You also love the string on your little phone, you pass it back and forth between your hands.
You LOVE to play peek-a-boo
The activity matt however, you like to pull down the bars and lift it up over your head.
Everything goes in your mouth so you love all rattles that you can put in your mouth.
I have loved this month and watching you grow.
We are just watching you everyday and try to soak it all in.
It goes by so fast.
Below are some more pics that we took.
You were done at the end and said "NO MORE PICS!"
